Adesoji Adelaja

Following an extensive tenure at Rutgers University, Dr. Adesoji Adelaja is the John a. Hannah Distinguished Professor in land policy and director of the land policy program at Michigan State University. His expertise lies in the areas of agriculture and land use at the urban fringe, business and industrial development in the food industry and resource management policy. Dr. Adelaja was the founder of the Food Policy Institute and served as its first director from 1999 to 2002. He was elected to the board of directors in October 2003 and serves on the executive board committee.

Gregory Dell'Omo

Dr. Gregory Dell'Omo is the vice president for external affairs at Saint Joseph's University. He is responsible for creating supportive educational and business relationships between Saint Joseph's University and a host of key external groups and constituencies, including international programs, sponsored research grants and services, government and community relations, media relations and marketing communications. He was elected to the board of directors in December 2000.

Linda Doherty

Linda Doherty is the president of the New Jersey Food Council, a trade association representing supermarkets and the food distribution industry in New Jersey. Ms. Doherty is responsible for managing regulatory relations and public affairs activities and develops the communication strategies and programs for the association. She was elected to the Board of Directors in October 2003 and serves on the executive board committee.

David Evans

Following an extensive career in the food industry, David Evans assumed the director's position at Nelson Farms in March of 2003. Part of SUNY Morrisville, Nelson Farms is a new state of the art incubator facility for food processing. The facility includes a retail and promotion area that involves two web sites for distributing NY grown & processed products nationally. He was elected to the board of directors in December 2000.

Kevin Gallagher

Kevin Gallagher is the vice president of GC Publishing, the leading regional food trade publisher in the country. GC Publishing is responsible for presses such as Modern Grocer, Modern Food Service and Tri-State Food News. He was elected to the board of directors in March 2002.

Guy Gregg

Guy Gregg is a restaurant proprietor (Publick House Restaurant and Inn) and an assemblyman representing the 24th District in New Jersey. He has been a member of the General Assembly since 1994 and currently is the chair of the Regulatory Oversight Committee. Furthermore, he serves on the Committee of Commerce, Tourism, Gaming and Military and Veteran's Affairs. He was elected to the Board of Directors in December 2000.

Scott Korman

Scott Korman is the president of Nashone Inc., an investment and financial advisory firm. Nashone, in conjunction with Holding Capital Group of New York, has been the lead principal in the acquisition of several companies, arranged financings, and performed financial consulting for numerous companies. Nashone, as a principal, has specialized in the merger and acquisition field of mid-sized companies. He was elected to the Board of Directors in December 2000.

Charles Kuperus

Charles Kuperus was appointed New Jersey secretary of agriculture in 2002. As secretary, Mr. Kuperus is responsible for overseeing programs that affect the 9,600 farms in the state of New Jersey. The farms and other food-related business contribute an estimated $62.5 billion to the state's annual economy. He was elected to the Board of Directors in September 2002.

Eileen Scott

Eileen Scott has been in the grocery business for over thirty years and has held numerous positions throughout her tenure. In 2002 Ms. Scott was promoted to the chief executive officer of Pathmark Stores, Inc. She joined the Board of Directors in September 2002 and serves as chairman. Ms. Scott is also a member of the Executive Board Committee.

Marvin Spira

Marvin Spira is a thirty-year veteran of the food industry with extensive experience in food manufacturing, retail, service and marketing. He served as the executive director of the Eastern Perishable Foods Association for eleven years and is president of Marketing Consultants International. He was elected to the Board in September 2002 and serves on the Executive Board Committee.

Elizabeth Weinmann

Elizabeth Weinmann is a strategic communications consultant with more than 25 years' experience and expertise in marketing communications, non-profit management and public policy consulting. She was elected to the Board in April 2006 and serves on the Executive Board Committee.
